Voco — Offline Translation App

This Privacy Policy describes how Zanish Labs ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use the Voco mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to privacy by design. Voco is built to perform AI translation entirely on your device — your text never leaves your iPhone or iPad.

1. What Data Is Collected

Voco does not collect, transmit, or store your translation text. All translation processing happens locally on your device using on-device machine learning models.

We may collect minimal, anonymized technical data:

App Diagnostics: Crash logs and performance metrics (via Apple's built-in opt-in analytics), which do not include any text you translate.
Download Metadata: When you download translation models, our hosting provider (Hugging Face) may log basic request metadata (IP address, user agent) as required for content delivery. We do not have access to personally identifiable information from these logs.

Voco does not use advertising identifiers, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking frameworks.

2. How Data Is Used

Any diagnostic data collected (crash reports, anonymized performance metrics) is used solely to:

Identify and fix bugs in the App
Improve model download reliability and app performance

We do not use any data for marketing, profiling, or advertising purposes.

3. Third Parties

Voco integrates with the following third-party services for essential functionality:

Hugging Face: Translation models are downloaded from Hugging Face's content delivery network. Hugging Face's Privacy Policy governs their handling of request metadata during downloads.
Apple: If you opt into sharing analytics with developers in iOS Settings, Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymized crash and performance data per their privacy framework.

No other third-party services, SDKs, or APIs are used. We do not sell, share, or rent any user data to third parties.

4. Data Retention

Since Voco does not collect your translation content, there is no user-generated data for us to retain. Anonymized crash logs received via Apple are retained for up to 90 days for diagnostic purposes, then automatically purged.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR in the EU/EEA and CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Because Voco does not collect personal data, these rights are inherently satisfied — there is nothing to access or delete. 6. Children's Privacy

Voco is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through in-app notice. Continued use of Voco after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
